Claudina Griego Mitchell

Claudina Alice Griego Mitchell, 62, of Spring Lake went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2022.

Claudina was born on February 17, 1959 in New Mexico to the late Delfina Griego (Cisneros) and Tomas Griego. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bryan Mitchell.

She leaves behind many family members to cherish her memories. Her children, Thomas Mitchell and Jeffrey Mitchell; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mitchell, Hunter Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Riley Mitchell; sisters, Rafaelita Griego, Orlinda Nunez and husband Israel Nunez, Emelia Vanchaik, and Rebecca Gurule.

Claudina was an extremely humble person and wore her heart on her sleeve. Friendly and very kind to everyone, she always wanted to help and only saw the good in people. If you wanted to talk she was always willing to just sit and listen without passing judgment. She was creative and talented. She enjoyed making clothes, crafts, blankets and even dolls. She could see something in a store or on television and recreate it for the family she loved so dearly.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:00pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg.
