Charles "Charlie Boy" Lindsey Johnson, 77, of Spring Lake, NC, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at his home.\n\nCharlie was born on September 9, 1945 in Arlington, Virginia to the late Osborne Johnson and Elizabeth Ann Johnson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rita Cox Johnson; son, Charles Johnson, Jr. and sister, Carol Ann Durant.\n\nCharles was survived by his daughters, Rochelle Corona (Francisco), Michelle Bush (Eric); daughter-in-Law, Tamica Johnson; grandchildren, Leticia Corona, Merced Corona, Francisco Corona, II, JaJuan Bush, and Amaya Johnson; nephew, Maurice Johnson and family; niece, Karen Johnson and family.\n\n"Charlie Boy" loved to cook, especially in his 20 year military career where he was with the 82nd Airborne and spent two tours in Vietnam with numerous medals and commendations. With his quiet but funny demeanor, he was a social butterfly who was a pool shark, loved bowling and was a number one fan of the Washington Redskins. Charlie will be missed by all who knew him.\n\nA memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00am at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, NC with Pastor Floyd Benfield officiating.
