Charles Ray Ivey, 78, of Linden went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.\n\nCharles was born on August 24, 1943 to the late Myrtie and Almond Ivey in Dunn, NC. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his little teacup poodle, Christina.\n\nCharles leaves behind many special memories with his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Hair Ivey and their children, Timothy Ray Ivey, Tammy Powers and her husband Rick, and Kellie R. Gregory and her husband Chris; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.\n\nCharles was a very loving and compassionate man with a very witty sense of humor. He enjoyed working on his computer, listening to Christian music, and studying the Bible online.\n\nThere will be a service honoring Charles' life on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00pm at Adcock Funeral Home, 2226 Lillington Highway, Spring Lake, NC 28390. There will be a visitation for friends and family held one hour prior to the funeral, beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Services entrusted to Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake.
