Bonnie Raynor

Bonnie Raynor, age 82 of Lillington, NC passed away on February 23, 2026 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital.

She was born on September 16, 1943, in Bartow, Florida, to the late Mary Alice Thomas and Walter Eugene Thomas.

Bonnie earned her Master’s degree and went on to serve as a school teacher where she retired after many years of service. Bonnie was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Spring Lake. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Greene Raynor; her son, Guy Strawder and his wife Joanne; her daughter, Renee Poston and her husband Cliff; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Parker and her husband Johnny; and a stepson, Kevin Raynor and his wife Angie. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Rita Brainard and Joan Hughes.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Spring Lake. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. at the church and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
