Barbara Ann Joseph Windley, 54, of Fayetteville went to heaven on August 10, 2021 while surrounded by her family.Barbara is preceded in death by her mother, Elise Edith Joseph and sister, Carolyn Joseph Wallace.\n\nShe is survived by her husband and best friend, William (Will) Windley, Jr.; father, Joe Joseph; sister, Joanne Joseph; many nieces, nephews, God-children and extended family. \n\nBarbara was a federal service employee for 31 years, and spent 25 of those years as an employee at the VA on Ramsey Street in the pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech (CPhT), then later became a Procurement Tech. Barbara had a knack for securing cost savings and worked part-time for CVS Pharmacy in Fayetteville for 30 years. \n\nBarbara was an avid Duke Basketball fan and loved attending the games and hanging with the Cameron Crazies. Barbara absolutely loved Christmas and everything about it, and would always celebrate long before and after the holiday.\n\nThe family would like to offer a special "Thank You" to her caring co-workers, neighbors and friends, with a special appreciation to her sister, Joanne Joseph, Dr. Tariq Nazir and staff at Health Pavilion North Cancer Center, Valerie Simmons with Brown's Private Duty Service and Liberty Hospice Care.\n\nAt this time, there will be no public service and the family requests that you honor Barbara in a way that reflects the kind and caring person she was.
