Barbara Green

Barbara Jean Green, 66, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 2, 2025. Born on an army base in Bad Cannstatt, Germany, to Dawson and Betty Green, Barbara lived a life full of love, kindness, and quiet strength that touched everyone she met. Besides her parents, Barbara is also predeceased by her sister, Patricia.

A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend, Barbara had a golden heart. She found joy in the simple things, crocheting, crafting, and caring deeply for those around her. Her love was always freely given, and she placed the needs of others before her own without hesitation.

Barbara's unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She chose to see the good in people, even when others could not. Her gentle spirit, patient nature, and boundless compassion made her a comforting presence to all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved children, Robert Ferrell and Sarah Sommerfield; Sarah's children, Josiah and Jream; and two other grandchildren who brought immense pride and joy to her life, and her siblings, David, Donald, Dawson, Debbie, and Mary.

Barbara's love lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy is one of warmth, selflessness, and faith; a beautiful soul who made the world a better place simply by being in it.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Adcock Funeral Home for family and friends on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
