Annie Bellel Meridith, 93, of Spring Lake, NC, died peacefully in her sleep and entered Heaven's gates on June 21, 2019. She was born on March 26, 1926, in Jacksonville NC. She is preceeded in death by her parents, Lee and Peachie Morton of Jacksonville, NC, her late husband of 53 years, James C. Meridith, Sr, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and their children James A. Meridith, Mary Ann Thompson, and James C. Meridith, Jr. \n\nAnnie Belle was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, most especially over the holidays. She loved Reading her Bible, spending time with her family, the beach, and gardening. She was a dedicated and loyal Sunday school teacher, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved Jesus and instilled in her children and grandchildren, at an early age, the belief of prayers and the everlasting and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. \n\nShe is survived by daughters, Lillian Ann Harris (Andrew), and Alice Faye Tilton, two brothers, George (Magalene), and Gerald (Joyce), and her 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. \n\nThe family will receive friends at Adcock Funeral Home, 2226 Lillington Hwy, Spring Lake, NC 28390, on Sunday, June 30, from 2-4pm.\n\nA Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, at 1 pm at First Baptist Church, 201 S. Main Street, Spring Lake, NC 28390. Interment will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life and fellowship will be held at First Baptist Church following the burial.
