Alice Helen Krieger

Alice Helen Krieger, 89, died March 5, 2016 at Highland House Nursing Home in Fayetteville NC.

She was born August 11, 1926 in London Ontario, Canada, to the late Robert Garnett and Hilda Hambly. She graduated from the Victoria Hospital Nursing Program in London Ontario on Sept. 24, 1948. On July 8, 1950 she married the late Robert Donald Krieger in Bermuda. She was employed for over twenty years at Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg, NC, and retired at the age of sixty-three.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Adcock Funeral Home & Crematory, 2226 Lillington Hwy., Spring Lake, NC. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd., Fort Bragg, NC.

Alice is survived by her two sisters, Gwen Wylde and Linda Garnett, both of London Ontario, Canada; brother, the late Robert Garnett, also of London Ontario, Canada; her daughters, Karen M. Martin of Fayetteville, NC, and Kim S. Shaw and husband, Leon W. Shaw, of Wake Forest, NC; and son, Robert C. Krieger and wife, Tomoko Krieger, of Oak Ridge, TN. Alice is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Womack Army Medical Center or to a charity of choice.
