Alexander "Alec" Ryan Obituary (1940 - 2020) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Alexander "Alec" Ryan, 79, of Spring Lake passed away on November 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Alec was born December 29, 1940 to the late John and Nancy Ryan. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, and a daughter-in-law. He enjoyed a life filled with love and hard work. He was generous and caring and tried to help everyone he could. He enjoyed the simple things in life like spending time with his family and taking care of his animals when he was able. Alec is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Ryan; son, Stevie Eric Ryan, Sr.; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Bouchard and husband Jason C. Bouchard, II; step-son, Larry Keith Bowden; step-daughter, Tammy Lynn Bowden; three sisters, Christine "Cricket" Ryan, Dorothy " Bogey" Ryan, and Sarah "Becky" Cornell; two brothers, William Henry "Bo" Ryan and Bill Ryan and wife Toni; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Alec will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 3:00pm at Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, 2226 Lillington Highway, Spring Lake, NC 28394. There will be a visitation for friends and family from 1:00pm until 3:00pm prior to the service. Services entrusted to Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, Spring Lake.
